General Program Information

Ngao Labs is a community-led, peer-to-peer data science and AI training initiative based in Kenya. We provide intensive, hands-on training to bridge the digital skills gap and empower aspiring tech professionals to build meaningful careers in data science and artificial intelligence.

Yes! Ngao Labs is completely tuition-free. There are no hidden fees, no application costs, and no charges for course materials. Our mission is to make quality tech education accessible to everyone, regardless of financial background.

The program runs for 10 intensive weeks, divided into two phases. Phase 1 (Weeks 1-5) covers foundations including Python programming, data analysis, and statistical methods. Phase 2 (Weeks 6-10) focuses on advanced topics like machine learning, AI ethics, and capstone projects.

Expect to commit 15-20 hours per week, including live sessions, hands-on projects, peer collaboration, and self-study. Live sessions typically run during the day (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM) (Kenya time).
